The Durham Music Festival provides an array of opportunities for individuals to showcase their talents in piano, instrumental, vocal, strings, guitar, band, choral, and speech arts. Students and adults are encouraged to particpate as a group, school or individuals.
The 2010 Durham Music Festival will take place from February 1st - 5th, at the South Oshawa Community Center, and February 11th at the DDSB board office. Registration forms can be printed from our website. Simply look for the appropriate icon and proceed! We're looking forward to highlighting many of the piano, instrumental, band, vocal, and speech arts this year!
Students can also join the Durham Mass Bands as individuals or as a school for our final concert on Feb. 11th, or consider providing music at a number of venues as a community service throughout the school year. Interested individuals should inquire!
Professionals from across the region participate in our festiival each year by offering their expertise and leadership while our program director is Mr. Paul Noble-Gresty.
Mr. Noble-Gresty (B.Mus., B.Ed., M.Ed.) is a teacher with the Durham District School Board at G.L. Roberts C.V.I. in Oshawa, where he teaches instrumental music and guitar. .
